Important Safety Recommendations

The full burner contains flammable gas under pressure (cylinder pressure). Please avoid open
flames, direct sunlight, and heating above 40 ºC. Do not force it open or burn it.
1. Please read these operating instructions carefully.
2. Store out of reach of children.
3. Store the burner in an upright position and use it only on a horizontal surface. Do not tip or tilt the
appliance during operation.
Danger!
Tilting or tipping can cause flames to shoot out.
4. The burner may be used only in well-ventilated rooms.
5. Use the gas burner only for the intended purpose and only under supervision. This appliance is
intended for home use only.
6. The appliance may be used only at a safe distance from flammable materials. Keep a distance of at
least 1 m to surrounding surfaces (e.g. walls, ceilings).
7. Do not touch the flame jet, as it is very hot after operation. Do not set the appliance on hot or warm
surfaces. Use a heat-resistant mat to protect sensitive surfaces.
8. Never point the burner at humans or animals.
9. Make sure that the burner is completely out after using it and before filling it with gas.
10. The appliance must be allowed to cool off after use.
11. Follow the safety warnings that are printed on commercially available gas refill bottles.
12. The burner is empty when delivered.
13. Do not use the burner if it has a leak or is damaged or is not functioning properly. If you detect a gas
odour or hear hissing, switch off the appliance immediately and take it outdoors. Then empty the
gas tank completely as described in the section "Ventilate the Gas Tank." Allow the gas to escape
only outdoors, but at a safe distance from open flames (candles, burning cigarettes, etc.), electric
cookers, or other persons. To determine whether the burner has a leak, brush a solution of soap or
dish soap onto it. If gas bubbles escape, please do not use the appliance any longer. Never use a
flame to test for leaks.
14. Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. If any problems arise, consult an authorized
dealer.
15. Do not make any changes to the appliance.
