Filling with Gas
Important: Before filling with gas, make sure the flame is completely out. Otherwise there is a risk
that a very small flame may not go out and may ignite gas when the tank is filled. Danger of burns!
• Use only high quality butane gas.
• Make sure that the flame controller is turned completely to the right (Position "-").
• Let the appliance cool off completely before filling.
• Before filling the gas tank, check that the refill valve on the bottom is clean and undamaged.
• Fill the gas tank only in rooms with good ventilation, far from any source of ignition such as open flames
(e.g. candles, cigars or cigarettes), pilot lights, electric cookers, and from other persons. Please note
the safety information on the gas refill canister and in the operating instructions.
• Shake the refill container to warm up the gas.
• The valve is on the bottom of the burner. To fill, turn the appliance over and place the jet of the refill
container vertically onto the valve of the burner from above. Avoid getting the jet and the valve stuck.
• To prevent damage to the burner head, do not touch it. Also make sure that it does not bump against
anything else.
Important!
If the gas flows back, this indicates that the gas tank is full. Please clean escaped gas from the surface
thoroughly so that it will not ignite when the flame is lit.
• After filling, wait a few minutes to allow the gas to stabilise.
