Olli battery energizers. Bigger one is market with symbol and smaller one
is market with smaller symbol . Choose the correct power range according to
the length of the fence, conditions and animals you are using the fence for.
Especially in difficult circumstances, with dry ground, long fences and animals
with long fur is recommended to use bigger power range. Keep in mind that
power range has also an influence on lifetime of the battery. With bigger power
the battery lifetime is shorter than with smaller power. You can calculate the
theoretical lifetime of a battery dividing battery ampere-hours by current
consumption of the energizer.
8. OLLI 50S ENERGIZER
Do not make any connection when energizer is on. Make sure that main
switch is in neutral position before any connections!
Olli 50S is powered with 6W solar panel and 12v / 12Ah lead-acid battery
delivered together with the energizer. ¨Connect the 12 V rechargeable battery
with connecting cable delivered together with the energizer. Connect the battery
cable to short connector cable coming out from energizer housing and being
marked as a connector for 12 V battery. Connect the other end of the cable with
battery so that red connector is connected with (+) connector and black with (–)
connector. After connecting the battery, connect the solar panel with connector
cable marked with sticker saying "solar".
8.1Loading the battery before use and setting the energizer in a correct
place
After you have connected both battery and solar panel, make sure that the main
switch is in neutral position. Clean the panel with soft fabric and set the energizer
in a sunny place where there are no obstacles like buildings, trees, grass etc. in
front of the panel. Align the panel directly to the sun during early afternoon. Keep
in mind that the angle of tilt is correct. During the spring and autumn the angle
should be around 60 degrees and in the summer time it should be around 45
degrees. To get the battery fully load, keep the energizer in it's position for at
least 3 days. After you have loaded the battery you can start to use the energizer.
When the battery is totally full, the energizer should run with it about 8 days in
dark conditions. Empty battery can be recharged in good sunlight in about 20 – 25
hours. Normally you need from 3 to 5 days to make battery full again.
8.2. Maintenance and storing of the energizer
Check out regularly that the energizer is working properly. Clean the panel with
soft fabric and DO NOT use strong cleaning materials or dissolvent because
these might cause damages on the surface of the panel.
Set the power switch in neutral position during the storing of the energizer.
Disconnect the panel from energizer is it's not use for 4 days or longer in order to
avoid over charge of the battery. In case you storage the energizer for more than
6 months, connect the panel and set the energizer into sunlight for two days after
every three months.
