Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der USB-Stick dient als Wechseldatenträger-Laufwerk, auf dem Daten über die USB2.0-
Schnittstelle gespeichert werden können. Ein integriertes LC-Display zeigt den noch freien
Speicher an. Durch die besondere Technik ist keine Batterie oder Akku für die Anzeige des LC-
Displays erforderlich.
Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der

Sicherheitshinweise
Das Produkt darf nicht feucht oder nass werden, dabei wird es beschädigt. Das Produkt ist kein
Spielzeug, es gehört nicht in Kinderhände.
Setzen Sie das Produkt keiner mechanischen Belastung aus, drücken Sie nicht auf das
Display.
Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit dem Produkt um, durch den Fall aus bereits geringer Höhe wird es
beschädigt. Setzen Sie das Produkt keinen hohen (>40°C) oder tiefen Temperaturen (<0°C),
direkter Sonneneinstrahlung oder hoher Staubbelastung aus.
Anschluss und Abstecken
• Verbinden Sie den USB-Stick mit einem freien USB2.0-Port Ihres Computers. Der Compu-
ter braucht dabei nicht ausgeschaltet werden. Das Produkt kann auch an einem USB1.1-
Anschluss verwendet werden, dabei sind aber nur Übertragungsraten von max. 1MByte/s
möglich.
• Windows erkennt neue Hardware und installiert den in Windows integrierten Treiber.
Danach steht der auf dem Stick vorhandene Speicher wie eine herkömmliche Festplatte
z.B. im Datei-Explorer zur Verfügung.
• Beim Abstecken des USB-Sticks ist darauf zu achten, dass zuerst alle Lese-/Schreibzu-
griffe beendet worden sind. Andernfalls kann es zu Datenverlust kommen.
In der Menüleiste von Windows finden Sie bei angestecktem USB-Stick ein kleines Symbol,
über das die Hardware sicher entfernt werden kann („Hardware sicher entfernen"). Hier
schließt Windows zuerst alle Zugriffe ab, danach lässt sich der USB-Stick abstecken.
Bedienung
• Wenn Sie den Namen des Laufwerks ändern (im Datei-Explorer mit der rechten Maustaste
auf „Wechseldatenträger" klicken, dann z.B. „Bilder" eingeben), so erscheint dieser nach ein
paar Sekunden im Display des USB-Sticks. Maximal 11 Zeichen sind möglich.
• Der noch freie Speicher wird im Display angezeigt, ein Tortenchart zeigt das Verhältnis von
freiem zu belegtem Speicher an. Das Aktualisieren der Anzeige dauert ein paar Sekunden
(bedingt durch das Betriebssystem).
• An der Seite befindet sich ein Schalter, der den Schreibschutz ein- bzw. ausschaltet.
Entsorgung

Elektrische und elektronische Geräte dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll!
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden
gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.

Prescribed use
The USB Stick is a removable memory drive on which you can store data via a USB2.0
interface. An integrated LC display indicates the storage space that is still available. Thanks
to a special technology, no batteries or rechargeable batteries are required for the LC display.

Features
• Integrated LC display for displaying the free storage space and the name of the drive you
selected.
• Thanks to the special technology of the LC display ("bi-stable display"), the indication
remains in the display, also without power supply; the USB Stick comprises neither a
battery nor a rechargeable battery that needs to be exchanged/replaced. Therefore, the
product does not require maintenance!

Safety Instructions
The product must not get damp or wet as this would damage it The product is not a toy and
should be kept out of reach of children!
Do not expose the product to mechanical stress, do not press on the display.
Handle the product with care; a fall from a low height can damage it. Do not expose the product
to high temperatures (>40°C) or low temperatures (<0°C), to direct solar radiation or to dust.
Connection and disconnection
• Connect the USB Stick to a free USB2.0 port of your computer. Doing this, the PC does not
need to be switched off. The product can also be used at a USB1.1 connection. However,
the transmission rate will be 1Mbyte/s maximum.
• Windows recognizes the new hardware and installs the driver integrated in Windows.
Afterwards, the free storage space on the stick is available e.g. in File Explorer, exactly like
a normal hard disk.
• When disconnecting the USB Stick, make sure that all read/write accesses are finished.
Otherwise this may lead to a loss of data.
When you connect the USB Stick, a small symbol appears in Windows menu bar. This
symbol indicates that the hardware can be removed safely (" Hardware can be safely
removed"). Windows closes all accesses first, then the USB Stick can be removed.
Operation
• If you wish to modify the name of the drive (click with the right mouse button on "removable
medium", then enter "pictures" for example). The name appears a few seconds later in the
display. 11 characters max. are possible.
• The free space in the memory is indicated in the display; a circular chart illustrates the ratio
between free and occupied memory. Updating the display takes a few seconds (depending
on the operating system).
• A switch is located on the side; it activates and deactivates the write protection.
Disposal

