Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt ist zum Einsatz in einem PCMCIA-Port eines Notebooks/PCs vorgesehen und dient
dort zum Auslesen und Beschreiben von Speicherkarten in den Formaten SD, MMC, Smartmedia,
und Memorystick.

Einsetzen einer Speicherkarte; Einstecken des PCMCIA-Adapters
Schieben Sie die Speicherkarte in den Einschub der PCMCIA-Karte, achten Sie auf die korrekte
Orientierung (nur eine ist möglich) und wenden Sie beim Einsetzen der Speicherkarte keine Gewalt
an! Stecken Sie dann den PCMCIA-Adapter korrekt herum in den PCMCIA-Port Ihres Notebooks.
Treiber-Installation
Windows erkennt das Gerät automatisch, die Treiber sind in Windows enhalten.
Auslesen einer Speicherkarte
Der PCMCIA-Adapter mit eingesetzer Speicherkarte wird wie ein Wechseldatenträger-Laufwerk
eingebunden. Ein zusätzlicher Laufwerksbuchstabe wird automatisch vergeben. Im Datei-Explorer
können Sie nun die Daten auf der Speicherkarte auslesen (oder Daten auf die Speicherkarte
schreiben), genauso wie von Festplatte oder Diskettenlaufwerk.
Verzeichnis-Strukturen auf der Speicherkarte sollten Sie jedoch nicht löschen, da sie sonst
evtl. wieder formatiert werden muss (z.B. im MP3-Player, Kamera usw.).
Beim Löschen von Dateien einer SD- bzw. Memorystick-Speicherkarte ist darauf zu achten,
dass der Schreibschutz der Karte deaktiviert ist.

out and writing on memory cards in the formats SD, MMC, Smartmedia and Memorystick.

Inserting a Memory Card; Connecting the PCMCIA-adapter
Insert the memory card in the module of the PCMCIA-card; heed to correct orientation (only
one is possible) do not force the memory card into the module! Then insert the memory card
in the module of the PCMCIA-card; please heed to correct orientation when connecting the
PCMCIA-adapter to the PCMCIA-port of your notebook.
Driver Installation
Windows recognises the device automatically, the drivers are included in Windows.
Reading out a Memory Card
The PCMCIA-adapter with inserted memory card is integrated like the running carriage of
interchangeable data carriers. An additional letter for running carriages is automatically allo-
cated. In the files explorer you can now read out the data on the memory card (or write data
on the memory card) in the same way as with the hard disk or a diskette running carriage.
However, you should not delete the dictionary structures on the memory card as you might
have to format it again (e.g. in the MP3-player, camera, etc.).
When deleting files of a SD-or Memorystick memory card please make sure that the write pro-
tection of the card is deactivated.
