Anleitung_BT_VT_600_SPK7:_
6.1. Features
Surge protection / short circuit-protection
If the input voltage is over 15 V, the appliance
automatically switches off and then back on once the
voltage drops below 15 V. If the appliance does not
automatically start, check the fuse in the 12 V
cigarette lighter plug and replace it, if necessary).
Undervoltage protection (protection of the
vehicle battery)
If the input voltage is at 10.5 V, an alarm signal
sounds. If the input voltage drops below approx. 10 V,
the appliance switches off. The appliance can be
switched on again as soon as the vehicle battery is
recharged.
Overheating guard
As soon as a temperature of approx. 55°C is reached,
the red LED lights up and the appliance switches off
automatically. After the appliance has cooled down to
the start-up temperature, it will automatically switch
on. In environments with a temperature of more than
40°C, the overheating protection could be triggered
because the appliance warms itself up.
Green LED
As soon as the appliance is ready for operation, the
green LED is lit up.
Red LED
If the vehicle battery is undervoltaged, if there is an
incorrect connection, a short circuit or other error, the
red LED lights up.
Acoustic alarm
If the vehicle battery is undervoltaged, if there is an
incorrect connection, a short circuit or other error, a
warning signal sounds.
6.2 Assembly
There is no assembly necessary. The appliance can
be operated both horizontally and vertically. Observe
the safety instructions listed under Point 1.
6.3 Connection
Important. If the positive pole of the vehicle battery is
connected to the vehicle chassis, the voltage
transformer must not be used and should not be
started up.
Before operation, make sure the connections to the
vehicle battery are secured.

Notes
The voltage transformer may only be used
attached to the battery with the accompanying 12
V power cable and only when the car is standing
still.
Because of the very high electricity level, the 12 V
power cables must have the correct dimensions.
If the length of the 12 V power cables provided is
not sufficient, we recommend the following cable
cross-sections:
up to 2m length = 25 mm
up to 3m length = 35 mm
Problem-free connection of the power cable to
the battery and the voltage transformer is
essential. Only use 12 V power cables which
have ring cable shoes for the voltage transformer.
To connect the 12 V power cables, proceed as
follows:
Switch the ON/OFF switch to "OFF" (0).
Connect the 12 V power cables to the screw
terminal (7 and 8) on the voltage transformer.
Please note that the red cable is for the "+" pole
and the black cable is for the "-" pole.
Connect the "+" - (red) battery clip to the "+" pole
on the battery.
Connect the "-" (black) battery clip to the "-" pole
on the battery.
Note: Removal of the battery clips from the battery
takes place in reverse order: first remove the black
battery clip from the negative pole of the battery, then
the red battery clip from the positive pole of the
battery.
Connect the earthing terminal to the chassis ground
of your vehicle.

7. Operation

Plug the 230 V consumer into the socket of the
voltage transformer.
7.1 Switching the voltage transformer ON / OFF
To switch ON, push the ON/OFF switch into
position "ON" (I). The green LED lights up, the
appliance is switched on and ready for operation.
If the 12 V input voltage is interrupted during
operation, restart the appliance by pressing the
ON/OFF switch.
To switch OFF, push the ON/OFF switch into
position OFF (0). The green LED is not lit, the
appliance is switched off.
