Remedy in case of faults

Possible cause
Outlet valve clogged

Relief valve does not close. Coating mate-
rial flows out of the return hose at the valve
position p (spray)
High-pressure hose not suitable for dia-
phragm unit

Measures for eliminating the malfunction
Switch off the gasoline engine.
Press the outlet valve button (Fig. 17, Pos.
1) several times. This opens the clogged
outlet valve.

Attention
Bleed the unit (hydraulic system), i.e. turn
the pressure control valves three rotations
to the left. Let the unit run for one to two
minutes.
Then turn the pressure control valve to the
right, in order to set the desired operating
pressure.
Mount the tip
Select a smaller tip, refer to Page 54, Point
14.3
Clean or replace the suction filter.
Clean and tighten the connecting points.
Replace the outlet valve parts, refer to
Page 46, Point 12.3
Screw the relief valve out of the paint sec-
tion and clean or replace it, refer to Page
47, Point 12.5.
Use original Wagner high-pressure hoses.
Replace the outlet valve parts, refer to
Page 46, Point 12.3
Always press the outlet
valve button (Fig. 17, Pos.
1) by hand. Never use a
hammer to hit the outlet
valve button.
