Pull the pump head off the filter module for model i60 and separate the filter modules for models i80, i100 and i200 in
the same manner. Remove the foam cartridges from the modules and pull the central collection pipe out of the car-
tridge. Rinse the cartridges under lukewarm tap water.
Push the central collecting pipe into the central hole in the filter module and place the foam cartridge on the collecting pipe.
Before you fit the pump head, biologically activate the filter material of the filter with JBL FilterStart Cleansing Bac-
teria (available at your specialist pet shop), as following:
Drip 50 drops of JBL Filterstart per foam cartridge directly on to the cartridge.
Re-connect the module(s) and the pump head. Check that all connections have fastened correctly.
Note: The filter modules can be fitted in any order in models i80, i100 and i200. Care should be taken that the bot-
tom plate with valve should always be attached to the bottom module.

Attaching magnetic holder to the aquarium
Attach the enclosed template with adhesive tape to the outside of the aquarium on the corner wherein the CristalProfi
Internal Filter is to be positioned. Check that the upper edge marked "water level" is level with the water surface of
the aquarium. Fix the magnetic holder(s) with the attached Velcro tape in the space(s) on the template. Remove the
template and save for future use.
The height of the magnetic holder(s) has been selected so that a surface current is produced which ensures the best
possible exchange of gases when the filter is mounted in the aquarium. If a higher (rippling current) or lower (smooth
current) position is required for the magnet, the position of the magnets can be adjusted upwards or downwards
within the width of the Velcro tape.
Note: In order to avoid the aquarium heater malfunctioning as a result of magnetic forces in the vicinity of the Cristal-
Profi Internal Filter, the heater should be positioned at least 20 cm from the filter. The best arrangement is to position
the filter and heater in opposite corners on the rear wall of the aquarium.

Putting the filter in position
Remove any foreign bodies e.g. small slugs etc. from the area of the aquarium glass where the filter is to be posi-
tioned. Place the filter in the designated corner of the aquarium where it will be held in place by the magnetic holders.
