CENTER CUTTING (Fig. 5)
Cutting in the center of a board can be done without the need for drilling a
starting hole first.
Rest the base of the jig saw on the work as shown, so the blade does not
touch the work. Then slowly lower the moving blade against the board.
For materials other than wood, a starting hole must be drilled first.
BEVEL CUTTING (Fig. 6)
Loosen the hex. socket head bolt (9) at the bottom of the base by using
the hex. wrench key. Next align bottom line of the housing to the angle
scale provided on the base plate, and then fasten the hex. socket head
bolt firmly. Bevel cutting of 0 - 45° can be achieved easily.
STRAIGHT CUTTING (Fig. 7, optional)
Accurate straight cutting can be performed by using the guide fence
(10).
This steel sheet can be cut by supporting the sheet with the end of the
guide.
CIRCLE CUTTING (Fig. 8, optional)
Accurate circle cutting can be done by using the guide fence.
Turn the guide fence upside down,and insert the guide pin(11)into the
hole.
ANTI-SPLINTERING MODE (Fig. 9)
Anti-splintering mode can be achieved by turning the reversible base.
1. Loosen the hex. socket head bolt (9) at the bottom of the base
(12).
2. Turn the base 180° to put the blade in the anti-splinter slot to help
minimize splintering.

MAINTENANCE

After use, check the tool to make sure that it is in top condition.
It is recommended that you take this tool to a Ryobi Authorized Service
Center for a through cleaning and lubrication at least once a year.
DO NOT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS WHILE THE MOTOR IS IN
MOTION.

LUBRICATING OR WORKING ON THE UNIT.
