Brief instructions: Handling the „CamView" program
After starting the „CamView" program, all the available network IP cameras will be detected in
the local network. When this has been done, the camera ID is shown in the folder „Auto Search"
(see following figure).
Saving the camera using the Drag&Drop function:
To save the detected camera, click on the camera ID and hold down the left
mouse key. While holding down the left mouse key, drag the camera ID into
the folder „CameraList".
To display the camera picture, double click on the camera ID or drag it via Drag&Drop into one of
the „Camera windows" on the right hand side (see figure below).
The delivery includes a blue "ID/Password Card". On the back side of this card, you will find the
"Camera ID" and the "Password."
If your network IP camera is outside the local network and therefore not listed
under „CameraList", right-click on „CameraList", select „New Camera" and
enter the camera IP and the password.
You will find the camera ID and the password on the card included in the
package contents.
On the CD provided, you can find further information on handling the camera, including detailed
instructions for the camera and software in English.

Installation

Ensure that the plug and socket of the camera's connection cable are not
exposed to damp. Plugs and sockets may only be used indoors. Therefore,
(for installation in outdoor areas or in damp areas) these connectors must be
placed, so they are led into a dry area.
The connection cables must not be kinked or squeezed. This can result in
malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
Make sure that cables or wires are not damaged when drilling or bolting in
place.
Please note, you should choose a position for your camera that it is not
exposed to direct sunlight (this can cause glare). Further, the camera must be
protected from dust and vibration.
The camera's integrated infrared LEDs enable night vision. Please note that
coloured image reproduction changes into black and white monochrome
when increasing darkness activates the IR-LEDs. The brightness is detected
by the camera using a photo sensor on the front.
• Find a suitable location for mounting the camera.
• There are holes for mounting on the mounting base provided. Hold the mounting base against
the desired mounting spot and mark the fixing holes.
• Drill the holes.
• Fasten the mounting base into place using appropriate installation material.
• Fasten the camera to the mounting base using the installation material provided.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position and then tighten the locking screws on the mounting
base.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The camera is maintenance-free.
Before cleaning the housing of the surveillance camera, separate it from the mains voltage and
disconnect the power transformer from the mains socket.
To clean the outside of the camera, it is sufficient to use a dry, soft and clean cloth.
Clean the lens very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any aggressive cleaning
agents.
