Intended Use

The product serves as a wireless combination of headset and microphone for connection to the
Kenwood radios via suitable connectors for headset and microphone. The headset itself can
be also connected with other Bluetooth
Both headset and Bluetooth
adapter are equipped with built-in rechargeable batteries for

power supply. They can be recharged using the enclosed USB charging cable at each USB
port or network adapter with USB connection.
For safety reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the product for
purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Furthermore,
improper use may cause hazards such as short-circuits, fire, etc. Please read the operating
instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third party, please
hand over these operating instructions as well.

Safety Instructions

Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention
to the safety instructions. We do not assume liability for injuries/material
damages resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions and the
information in these operating instructions regarding the proper handling of
the product. Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/guarantee will be null
and void.
• The product is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave the packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations,
high humidity, moisture, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure
it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- has visible damages,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of
time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
• Please handle the product carefully. It can be damaged by impact, blows, or by
being dropped, even from a low height.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are
connected to this product.
• The output volume should not be set too high. Headset may cause, in particular,
hearing damage.
• The batteries are built in to the product. You may not change the rechargeable
batteries.
• Never damage the batteries. By damaging the shell of the battery it might cause
a risk of an explosion or a fire!
• Never short circuit the contacts/connections of the rechargeable battery. Do not
throw the batteries or the product into open fire. There is a danger of fire and
explosion!
Charge the rechargeable batteries regularly, even if you do not need the product.
Due to the used rechargeable battery technology, it is not necessary to discharge
the rechargeable battery first.
• Never charge batteries unsupervised.
• Put the product on a heat-resistant surface when charging. A slight warming du-
ring the charging process is normal.

Recharging the Batteries

Batteries of headset and Bluetooth
Adapter must be fully charged before commissioning.

Headset
• Plug the micro USB plug of the enclosed charging cable into the charging socket (1) on the
headset.
• Connect the USB plug of the enclosed charging cable to a computer USB port or USB con-
nector of a power adapter.
• During the charging process, the status indicator (5) on the headset lights up red. Once the
rechargeable battery of the headset is charged the colour changes to blue.
• If a beep sounds during operation every 15 seconds and status indicator (5) flashes red on
the headset, the rechargeable battery needs to be recharged.
• Operating time with full battery charge: approx. 5 h in talking mode/ approx. 100 h in standby
• Charging time: approx. 1.5 - 2.5 h

• Plug the enclosed round plug of the enclosed charging cable to the headset and charge
connector (9) on the Bluetooth
Adapter.

• Connect the USB plug of the enclosed charging cable to a computer USB port or USB con-
nector of a power adapter.
• During the charging process, the status indicator (12) on the Bluetooth
