Insert the mains plug for the illumination into a
suitable socket.
Also connect any accessories to a socket.
Switch on the illumination using the on/off switch
(Fig. A, 4).
A timer switch can be used for regular light and
dark phases in the aquarium. Ideally, the light
should be switched on for 8 to 12 hours per
day. Suitable timer switches can be obtained
from specialist electrical retailers.
Only insert your fish once the aquarium has
undergone an appropriate run-in phase.
Information on this can be found in the
enclosed brochure.
Cleaning
DANGER
Fatal injury due to electric shock.
Disconnect all electrical devices from the
mains power supply before cleaning the
aquarium.
Never reach into the water when electrical
devices are connected to the mains power
supply.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the aquarium due to improper
cleaning.
Do not use hard, pointed or sharp objects.
Clean the aquarium using a soft cloth or
sponge.
ATTENTION!
Contamination of the aquarium due to incorrect
cleaning products.
Do not use cleaning agents or soap for
cleaning.
Use only clean water or special cleaning
products for aquaria.

Disconnect all electrical devices from the mains
power supply.
Clean the aquarium.
Make sure that the adhesive sealants in the
corners are not damaged.

Maintenance

Disconnect all electrical devices from the
mains power supply before maintaining the
aquarium.
DANGER
Fatal injury due to electric shock as a result of
missing or defective protection devices on the
aquarium illumination.
Make sure that the sealing rings are
correctly inserted into the threaded
couplings (Fig. D).
Never use the aquarium without sealing
rings in the threaded couplings.
Immediately exchange defective sealing
rings. You can order spare parts on the
internet at www.tetra.net.
CAUTION
Poisoning due to escaping mercury.
Take care not to break the fluorescent lamp.
Insert the fluorescent lamp carefully.
If the fluorescent lamp becomes broken
ventilate the room.
Make sure that no one is able to inhale the
poisonous mercury vapours.
