The fixing point is usually located on the roof, on the trunk floor or on the back of the backrest. Tighten the TopTether
strap by pulling its end. The strap must be tightened so, that the indicator on the tensioner turns from red to green.
Securing the chlid with 5-point seat belts
The more closely the harness fits the child, the better protection it ensures. Always try to make gap between the
child's body and the harness straps no wider than the width of two fingers. Before securing the child, take thick clothes
off the child. Press the belt loosening button located in the front of the seat and pull both shoulder belts. Unfasten the
harness by pressing the red button in the middle of the buckle. Take the belt tongues out of the buckle. Place the child
in seat and put shoulder belts on. Connect both belt tongues and fasten them in the buckle, until a ‚click' sound can
be heard. Pull the harness tightening strap in front of the seat, to tighten the harness. Pull the shoulder belts to make
sure the harness is secured. Make sure the shoulder pads lay on the shoulders of the child.
Installation for group I (9-18 kg) with 3-point car seat belts
Adjust the headrest and seat belt height. Set the seat forward-facing on the passenger seat and push the seat firmly
against the backrest. Unwind the 3-point car seat belt and slide it trough the belt guides at the back of the seat shell.
Make sure the lap part of the seat belts goes through the lower belt guides. Engage the belt tongue in the belt buckle.
Open the red belt tensioner on the side of the car belt tensioner. Put the shoulder part of the car belt into the belt
guide, tighten the belts by pulling them in the direction of the car belt tensioner and close the red flap. Make sure the
belts are aligned properly, are tightened enough and are not twisted.
Installation for group II (15-25 kg) with 3-point car seat belts and top tether
It is possible to use the 5-point harnes for a child weighing 15-25 kg when the seat is installed with the 3-point car seat
belts and the TopTether system. Install the seat with 3-point car seat belts. Adjust the TopTether strap length with the
tensioner. Attach the TopTether latch onto the TopTether fixing point in your car. Tighten the TopTether strap by pulling
its end. The strap must be tightened so, that the indicator on the tensioner turns from red to green.
Installation for group II, III (15-36 kg) with 3-point car seat belts
Before the installation, dismantle the 5-point harness. Adjust the headrest to the height of the child. (OPTIONALLY)
Fasten the car seat with the ISOFIX latches. This may improve the stability of the seat in the car. Place the child in the
seat. Guide the car belts in front of the child. Fasten the belt tongue in the belt buckle and align the lap part of the
belt on the lower belt guides between the seat and the backrest. Take the diagonal belt and slide it through the belt
guide in the headrest, on the side of the car belt tensioner. Make sure the belt is put correctly inside the belt guide and
is not twisted. Tighten the belts by pulling the diagonal part in the direction of the car belt tensioner. Make sure the
diagonal belt goes through the middle of the child's shoulder. If the belt is too close to the child's neck, adjust the
height of the headrest. To uninstall the seat fastened with ISOFIX and TopTether, begin with pressing the buttons on
the sides of the ISOFIX latches to disengage the locks. Loosen the TopTether strap and detatch it from the fixing point.
Remove the car seat and push the ISOFIX latches back into the seat shell.
Removing the 5-point car seat belts
Begin with loosening the 5-point harness as much as possible, by pressing the button in the front of the seat and
pulling the shoulder belts. Pull the belt adjustment lever at the back of the seat and set the harness in the highest
position available. Remove the tips of the shoulder belts from the metal anchor and put the anchor in the storage
compartment. Remove the loops of the shoulder belt pads from the rods on the sides of the adjustment lever. Pull the
shoulder belts in front of the seat to remove them from slots. Press red button on the belt buckle and remove the belt
tongue from it. Pull the middle part of the upholstery and unfasten the snap buttons. Push the lap belts into the slots
under the upholstery. Join back the two upholstery parts with the snap buttons. Pull the seat tilt lever and set the seat in
the most reclined position. Find the metal plate under the seat. Pull it and rotate it by 90° and pull it from the upper side
of the seat through the slot in the seat. To install the harness back, follow the above instructions in reversed order.
Cleaning and conservation
Proper functioning of the 5-point belt buckle has a great impact on the safety of your child. The most common cause
of buckle malfunctioning is dirt getting into the buckle slot. This gives the following signs: - the belt tongue exits the buc-
kle slot very slowly after the red button is pressed, - the belt tongue does not fix in the buckle, - the belt tongue can be
fastened but no ‚click' sound can be heard, - it is necessary to put much force into closing the buckle, - it is necessary
to put much force into pressing the button and releasing the tongue from the buckle. If any of the
problems mentioned above occur, it is required to clean the belt buckle: Unfasten the belts. Remove the crotch pad.
Adjust the seat tilt into the most reclining position. Thread the metal plate fixing the buckle strap through the slot in
the seat shell. Put the belt buckle into warm water with few drops of dishwashing liquid for at least an hour. Rinse the
buckle with clean water and leave it until it is dry. Remember to use the original upholstery, as it is an integral part of
the seat and plays an important role in its proper functioning. The upholstery may be removed for washing. Do not
tumble dry. Use mild detergents. Plastic parts of the seat may be cleaned with damp cloth and soap. Never use strong
detergenst such as bleaches etc. Never iron the uphostery.
