Installation/Set-up
The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a spe-
cialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. Repairs,
operation and maintenance of the product may only be carried out by qualifi ed
personnel.
Do not place or install the device where it will be exposed to shaking, vibration,
dust, heat, cold and moisture. Furthermore, keep the product away from strong
transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
When installing the product, ensure that the adapter's power cord is not
jammed or damaged by sharp edges.
During installation and servicing, the area below the installation site must be
cordoned off.
The installation surface, or mounting fi xture, must be designed so that it can
withstand 10 times the loading capacity for at least one hour without perma-
nent damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is separate from the proper mounting supports, when it is in-
stalled in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the installa-
tion should be able to fall down.
Observe all the relevant regulations when mounting/installing the device.
Keep a free area of 15 cm around the housing to ensure unhindered heat dissi-
pation. Otherwise, the laser may overheat.
The laser can be set up on the enclosed tripod or attached to the ceiling or wall.
Installation on the tripod
• Screw the tripod to the tripod socket on the bottom of the housing.
• Align the feet of the tripod, and thereby also the direction of the laser, as desired.
Installation with a mounting bracket
• Install the laser effect device using a mounting bracket on the ceiling, the wall or on a suitable
crossbeam. When installing it, make sure that the device cannot swing freely.
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface and suitable
for carrying the weight of the laser.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The safety
restraint cable or net must be able to support the light effect device in the event of a fault in the
main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and tighten the two bracket locking screws carefully.
Connecting the power adapter
The mains socket to which the laser is connected must be easily accessible so
the device can be quickly and easily separated from the mains voltage in the
case of a fault.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains vol-
tage can cause serious electric shocks, which can be fatal.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional
way to prevent accidents.
• Plug the enclosed power adapter's low-voltage plug into the DC-5V socket.
• Plug the power adaptor into a wall socket.

Operation

The desired operation mode is selected by means of the functional switch 1-2-3 and the MUSIC/
AUTO switch:
• 1-2-3 Switch position 1
The laser effect fl ashes.
Use the STROBOFLASH CONTROLLER to set the fl ashing frequency.
Use the MOTOR CONTROLLER to set the rotational speed of the motor.
• 1-2-3 Switch position 2
The laser effect device remains switched on.
Use the MOTOR CONTROLLER to set the rotational speed of the motor.
• 1-2-3 Switch position 3
The device is switched off.
• MUSIC/AUTO Switch
MUSIC: The laser effect is controlled by the beat of the music.
AUTO: The laser effect is now controlled via the integrated controller.
Handling
• Never switch the laser effect device on and off at short intervals. This will considerably reduce
the working life of the device.
• The device is not suitable for continuous use. Pauses in operation increase the working life of
the product.
• Never switch the device on immediately after it has been taken from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation that forms might damage the device.
Leave the device disconnected and wait until it has reached room temperature. Wait until the
condensation has evaporated.
• To ensure suffi cient ventilation, never cover the device. In addition, the air circulation must not
be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
Maintenance and care
Before cleaning the laser, disconnect it from the power supply (disconnect the
power supply unit).
Make absolutely sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as these may damage the surface
of the case.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regula-
tions.
