9. Operation and handling

• Place the correctly screwed device on the surface of the water.
• Wait a few seconds until the display indicates a stable temperature value. The housing and
the inside of the device need some time to adjust to the temperature of the water.
Please note:
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!
Do not throw the device into the water and do not use it as a sport device or as
a toy.
Look after your pets; they can mistake the device for a toy. If animals break the
device with their teeth there is a high risk of injury involved!
Do not immerse the device; it is designed for use on the surface of the water.
Do not place the device in hot water (max. +70°C or +158°F) or in ice water (risk
of frost).
Remove the device from the water if you do not need it.
• Never disassemble the product (except for inserting/changing the batteries and for setting
the DIP switch).
• Have the unit repaired only by an experienced technician otherwise the unit's guarantee
will expire.
• Even a fall from a low height can damage the product.

10. Battery Replacement

The batteries in the sensor have a life span of up to 2-3 years (high quality alkaline batteries).
If in the display of the device a battery symbol "
