• Feed the discharge hose directly into a water drain. Check that the hose is at a
gradient for its entire length and that it is not bent, knotted or blocked so that the
water can discharge safely and without obstruction. Regularly check that the
discharge hose is in a secure position and that it has a tight seal.
• As the dehumidifier does not feature a pump, the water can only drain downwards.
• Slide the water tank back into the device.

Maintenance and cleaning

a) General
• The product does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning. Turn the
product off before cleaning or maintenance work and remove the mains plug from
the socket.
• Remove the water tank (8) as described under "d) Emptying the water tank". Rinse
the tank thoroughly with lukewarm water. Clean the water tank exterior with a soft,
damp cloth.
• Clean the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth and then wipe with a
dry cloth.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning materials, as these could damage the
plastic parts of the product.
• Ensure that no water gets into the interior of the device.
b) Cleaning the filter
• Never operate the appliance without a filter!
• Clean the filter with the utmost care to avoid damaging it.
• Depending on the operating conditions, the filter should be cleaned every 4 weeks.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning materials as these could destroy the
filter.
• Remove the water tank (8). The filter is located directly above the tank, behind the
air inlets (6). Pull the filter downwards and remove it from the appliance.
• Clean the filter with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner.
If the filter is very dirty you can clean it carefully in lukewarm water (the water
temperature must be under 40 °C). Let the filter dry completely.
• Put the dry filter back into the dehumidifier. Be careful not to bend the filter.
Storage
• If you are not going to use the dehumidifier for an extended period of time (more
than one week), let it dry completely along with all components.
• The dehumidifier must not be stored with a dirty filter or when there is water in the
water tank.
• Keep the dehumidifier upright in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and
dust.
