USING THE DEVICE

Please read through the operating instructions carefully
before using for the first time.
ATTENTION! Rising vapours can lead, amongst other
things, to headaches and signs of fatigue if inhaled. Use
respiratory protection if required.
Note:
- Test each application on surplus material and thus check the desired effect. This will help you
avoid damaging the work piece.
- Discolouration of the branding rod ① is completely normal and does not represent a quality
defect.
Replacing the soldering tip and the branding extensions

1. Use a small pair of pliers or a tweezers to replace the soldering tip or the branding extension
⑥/⑦.
2. Twist the soldering tip or the branding extension ⑥/⑦ in a clockwise direction to screw it on
and in an anticlockwise direction to unscrew it.
3. Do not overtighten the soldering tip or branding extension ⑥/⑦ so that it is easy to remove and
to avoid it becoming deformed.
4. Make sure the soldering tip or branding extension ⑥/⑦ is screwed flush to the branding rod ①.
Branding
1. Screw the desired branding extension ⑦ onto the branding rod ① as described above.
2. Place the branding rod ① onto the stand ② so that the Y-shaped mount on the stand ②
supports the branding and soldering iron between the sleeve and the handle ③ (see fold-out
page).
3. Connect the mains plug ④ to a suitable and easily accessible mains socket. Ensure that the
power supply is suitable. The device is now heating up.
4. Wait for approx. 10 minutes until the branding extension ⑦ has heated up fully.
5. Use the supplied template ⑨ to brand letters and numbers, for example, on the included
chopping-board.
6. Hold the device on the handle ③ like a pen while working.
7. Test the branding effect initially on a sample piece of material.
8. Disconnect the mains plug ④ from the mains socket after finishing your work and allow the
device to cool down for at least 30 minutes.
