1. Open the housing of your computer and carefully take off the lid of the housing.
2. Look for a free 13.3 cm (5.25") installation slot and remove the front cover. There may be a metal shield
behind it which needs to be removed. For some housings it can be screwed off, for some it has to be
carefully broken out. Depending on the housing the complete front cover of the housing has to be removed
beforehand.
3. Attach the connection cables included to the corresponding connections on the multi-card reader (see Ill. 2).
4. Power is supplied via a special Y cable. Attach the small two-pole plug to the connection (A) and the large
two-pole plug to the connection (E).
5. Connect the USB 2.0 cable to the connections (D) and (C) and connect the SATA cable to the
connection (G) on the multi-card reader. Connect the audio cable to the connection (H).
6. Connect one fan cable each to the connections (B).
7. Push the cables and the multi-panel into the 13.3 cm (5.25") bay of your computer housing; then bolt down
the multi-card reader with the enclosed screws.
8. Now connect the cables of the multi-card reader to the corresponding connections of your mainboard. Note
the information in the instructions provided by the mainboard manufacturer.
9. Connect the USB 3.0 cable to the USB 3.0 connection on the mainboard.
10. Connect the two fan cables with the corresponding fans in the computer.
11. Connect the 13.3 cm (5.25") power cable to a corresponding electrical connection on your computer
power supply unit.
12. Lay the cables in a way so that they cannot get into a fan of the PC. Use cable binders for fastening.
13. Check all connections once more and then close the housing of your computer.
14. Connect your computer and monitor with the mains voltage und switch on all devices.
15. If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off immediately and check all settings and cable
connections.

1. Connect the external devices and memory cards to the correspondingly designated connections on the
multi-card reader.
