Switching the alarm function on/off, setting up the alarm time
The alarm time uses the digital watch; viz. if an alarm time of „06:00" o'clock is set, the signal is
only released if the digital watch switches from „05:59" o'clock to „06:00" o'clock. For this the ana-
logue watch is completely irrelevant.
• Activate the setting mode by holding down the „D"-button for more than 2 seconds until the seconds start
blinking in the display. Now release the button.
If you wish to quit the setting mode, briefly press the „T"-key at any point. The settings that have
been adjusted until then will be saved.
• Select „AL ON" (alarm on) or „AL OF" (alarm off) by briefly pressing button „D".
• Briefly press the „HR" button. The hours of the alarm start flashing. Set the hours by using the „D" button
(keep it pressed in order to start the fast skip mode).
• Briefly press the „HR" button. The minutes of the alarm start flashing. Set the minutes by using the „D" but-
ton (keep it pressed in order to start the fast skip mode).
• Briefly press the „HR" button, the „AL ON" or „AL OF" display flashes again.
• Briefly press the „T" button to leave the settings mode. All changes made are being saved.
Stopping the alarm signal:
At the set time a sound signal is released. Stop this alarm signal by pressing any key.
Use of the heart rate monitor
Please note:
• One of the two contacts of the heart rate monitor is located at the bottom of the watch (battery compartment
lid). This area has to have skin contact during measuring. The second contact is button „S1".
• Occasionally clean the bottom of the wrist watch in order to allow a good contact to the skin for measuring.
• Do not use any skin cream because it could deteriorate the metal's surface contact to the skin, probably pre-
venting measurement.
Dirty and dry skin/fingers or a thick cornea at the finger will cause problems, too. Clean the skin, and, if nec-
essary, moisten it with a little clean water.
• During measurement the watch should not be moved (nor the finger used for the measuring), since this
causes measuring errors.
1. Make sure that the bottom of
the wrist watch („S2") has skin
contact.
2. Press the button
„S1" with your
thumb.

Measuring procedure
(„ " symbol appears)
Display of the heart rate
Proceed as follows to measure the heart rate:
• Make sure that the bottom of the wrist watch („S2") has skin contact.
• Press the button „S1" with your thumb.
• Press the button „HR" with your index finger. With good skin contact, a measurement of your heart rate is
shown in the display after 5 seconds at the earliest.
If necessary, keep impressed both button a little longer, until a value is displayed. If there is not
heart rate value shown after 40 seconds the measuring will be terminated automatically.
During the measuring, the sweep hand of the analogue watch is stopped. After finishing the
measuring the seconds hand automatically moves to the present time.
With a successful measuring, the heart rate is displayed for about 10 seconds if the button „HR"
is kept impressed. Afterwards, the display turns off automatically to save energy.
Replacing the battery
the battery must be changed if the LED display is very weak or the analogue watch stops working. We advise
the battery be changed by a specialist, because special tools are needed to open the back cover.
Synchronising of the sweep hands
Please note: A slight deviation between the analogue seconds and the digital seconds is normal,
since the two watches, analogue and digital, are totally separated working systems.
• Firstly, set the time of the digital watch; finish this setting.
• Wait until the seconds hand of the analogue display is on 12 o'clock. Then pull out the winder. The sweep
hand of the analogue watch stops.
• Keep pressing the button „T" for at least 2 seconds until the seconds start flashing in the display of the dig-
ital watch.
• Push in again the crown exactly when the digital display of the seconds switches to „59" (the mechanics of
the analogue watch needs about 1 second to start).
Now the sweep hand should show the same seconds like in the digital display.
• Briefly press button „T" and the settings mode of the digital watch is left, the seconds stop flashing without
changing the time.
Correct the seconds jointly
If you have set the two watches (analogue and digital watch) to the same second as described above, a small
deviation of the seconds can be corrected collectively.
• Keep pressing the button „T" for at least 2 seconds until the seconds start flashing in the display of the dig-
ital watch.
• Setting the seconds backwards:If the digital display of the seconds shows a number between 0 to 30 sec-
onds (e.g. „12") and if you then press the button „D", the seconds of the digital display will be reset to „00"
and the sweep hand will stop (e.g. at „12"). The sweep hand will start moving automatically as soon as the
digital display shows „12". To quit the setting mode briefly press the „T" button.
• Setting the seconds forward:If the digital display of the seconds shows a number between 31 to 59 sec-
onds (e.g. „45") and if you then press the button „D", the seconds of the digital display will be reset to „00"
and the sweep hand will run forward to „00". Both displays (sweep hand and digital display) immediately
restart. To quit the setting mode briefly press the „T" button.

relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (designation can be found on
battery/rechargeable battery under the trash icons on the bottom left).
You can return used (rechargeable) batteries free of charge at the official collection points in your
municipality, our stores, or where ever (rechargeable) batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
