DMX Configuration

DMX Addresses
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called start address to be clearly identified and controlled by the
controller.
This start address is defined by the DIP switches on the device. Each DIP switch is assigned a value. The total of
these values then defines the start address. The start address denotes the first DMX channel; the second DMX
channel is denoted by the number following the start address.
• Set the DMX start address 1 to 9 with the DIP switches.
• The DIP switches have the following values:

Example:
DIP switches 1, 3 and 5 are set to ON, all other switches are set to OFF.
Start address = 1 + 4 + 16 = 21
DMX Mode
The Dimmer Pack may be operated as a 1 channel device or as a 4 channel device.
In 1 channel operation, all 4 exits synchronously react to the DMX control. In 4 channel operation, each exit is
assigned a unique DMX channel.
The DMX mode is selected by the DIP switch 10.
