Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.

Children cannot recognise the dangers involved in the incorrect use of electrical appliances. Therefore
never allow children to use household appliances without supervision.
•
Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and each time before it is
cleaned.
•
Danger! Nominal voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the appliance is connected to the
mains socket.
•
Switch the appliance off before disconnecting from the mains.
•
Never use the cord to carry the appliance.
SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE
•
Important advice: Do not use the machine non-stop for longer than 10 minutes. Allow the machine to
cool down for about 30 minutes before using again.
•
Caution! The cutting knife () is very sharp. Special caution is recommended when using and cleaning
the machine.
•
After cutting, always put the on / off switch I/O (6) on position O and turn the adjuster (7) all the way in
the "-" direction. Disconnect the appliance from the outlet.
•
Never feed food into the machine with your bare hands. For this, always use the cutting tray (5) and the
food gripper (1).
•
Only remove the cut-up food when the cutting knife () is at a complete standstill.
•
Caution! The food gripper (1) has very sharp burls. Extra caution is recommended when using and
cleaning the machine.
•
This machine is intended for cutting bread, sausage, and meat, as well as for vegetables and fruit. It
may not be used to cut
•
meat with bones
•
foods with cores
•
hard, inedible parts of foods
•
frozen foods
•
twine-wrapped roasts
as well as other similar foodstuffs.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
•
Remove all packaging materials.
•
Clean the machine and its accessories (see CLEANING AND CARE).
OPERATION
•
Place the machine on an even, secure surface. The suction cups on the bottom offer additional
stability.
•
Connect the power plug (4) to an outlet.
•
Set the slicing thickness with the adjuster knob (7).
•
Lay the food on the cutting tray (5) and press the food gripper (1) lightly in the direction of the cutting
knife ().
•
Turn the on / off switch I/O (6) to position I. The on / off switch I/O (6) will light up red and the cutting
knife will begin to turn.
•
Move the cutting tray (5) with slight pressure back and forth in even movements.
•
If the turning speed of the cutting knife is reduced while cutting, do not push the food further in the
direction of the cutting knife (). Wait a moment until the cutting knife turns at normal speed once
again.
•
After cutting, always turn the On / off switch I/O (6) to position O and turn the adjuster (7) all the way in
the "-" direction. Disconnect the appliance from the outlet.
•
Tip: When cutting especially thin slices, wet the cutting knife () with a moist cloth. This way, the
sticking of the food to the cutting knife () will be prevented. When moistening, the power plug must be
pulled out!
•
Food gripper (1): Lay this on the cutting tray (5) to press down the food.
