Radio Mode
First, pull out the telescopic antenna "11" completely!
Press the "ON/ OFF" key to switch the radio on/off! With
the radio station setting control "7" you can set different
radio stations within the UKW (VHF) frequency range
from 87.5 to 108.5 MHz! The desired volume can be set
with the volume control "8"!
Time and Date Setting
Press the "MODE" key "2" several times until the dis-
play indicates the time function (hours/minutes/seconds
– year/month/day)!
Press and hold the "SET" key "3"! The display indicates
either "12" for the American time (am = in the morning
and pm = in the afternoon) or "24" for 24 hours indica-
tion. Press the "SELECT" key "4" to select the respective
mode!
Press the "MODE" key "2" twice! The minutes indica-
tion starts flashing. By pressing the keys "SELECT" (4)
and "MODE" (2) alternately, you can set one after the
other the minutes, hours, year (1998 to 2049), month

Leaky or damaged batteries might cause
cauterization when in contact with the skin.
Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
Do not short-circuit batteries. Do not try to
recharge them or throw them into fire
because they might explode!
Operation via Plug Mains Unit
(not enclosed in scope of delivery)
Instead of batteries, the Metal Radio can also be operat-
ed via an external plug mains unit. The plug mains unit
has to show the following specifications:
Operating voltage
: 230 Volts ~ 50 Hz
Output voltage
: 3 Volts =
Output power
: 100 mA
Jack plug
: Ø 3.5 mm ("+" inside)
Please also observe the operating manual of the applied
plug mains unit! Now, connect the jack plug with the
jack "9" and connect the plug mains unit to a mains
socket of the public mains!
