• In the place of assembly/installation the ambient temperature must not be around or under the
freezing point (<0°C). This causes the water to freeze in the domestic water supply; the higher
volume of ice destroys the domestic water supply. In winter, store the product above freezing point.
• If you use an extension cable or if the laying of cables all the way to the domestic water works is
necessary, make sure that the cables do not have a cross section smaller than the rubber hose lines
with short symbol H07RN-F according to DIN VDE0620. Use extension cables with ground fault
interrupter only, which are suitable for outdoor use.
• Protect the cable from heat, oil/gasoline and sharp edges; do not step on the cable, do not drive over
it (for ex. with a garden wagon, bicycle, car). Never bend the cables and do not place objects on them.
Operation
• The product is only suitable for a supply voltage of 230V~/50Hz of the public power supply system.
Never use the product with a different voltage.
• Always disconnect the mains plug when you fill the product and if you are not using the device any
more, as well as before repair or maintenance.
Never disconnect the mains plug from the power outlet by pulling on the power cord. Always pull
the mains plug from the mains socket by the gripping area provided on the side only.
Never touch the mains plug when your hands are damp or wet. Danger of a life-threatening electric
shock!
• Before each use, fill the pump up to the overflow with clean, clear, cold water.
• Carry the product using the carrying handle; never carry it by the power cord.
• In case of a malfunction at the pressure switch, the water can heat up in the pump if a longer operation
(> 5 min) takes place against the shut pressure side.
If the pressure side is opened, the hot water is discharged, risk of scald burns/injury!
• The pump of the domestic water supply must not work more than 5 minutes against the closed
pressure side in order to avoid damages.
This might happen if the water supply on the suction side is not sufficient or if a tap is shut on the
suction side. The pump cannot build up any pressure.
In such a case, the water that is in the pump heats up. If the pressure side is opened, the hot water
is discharged, risk of scald burns/injury!
If the water supply on the suction side is not sufficient within the 5 minutes, disconnect the domestic
water supply from the mains voltage. Let the pump and the water that is inside it cool off (approx.
30 minutes).
Check the water supply on the suction side before putting the domestic water supply into operation
again.
• The pump is not protected against running dry. Therefore, always make sure that the extremity of
the suction hose is in the medium to be pumped.
• Never shut the suction hose, for ex. via a tap if the product is in operation.
