• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not
permitted.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• The device is manufactured according to protection class 1. Only a proper earthed power outlet (220 - 240 V/
50 - 60 Hz) on the public supply grid can be used as a voltage source.
• Extra care should be taken when using the device for the fi rst time. Therefore, please follow the operating
instructions carefully.
• Note also the safety and operating instructions of the other devices that are connected to the speaker.
• Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or otherwise subjected to me-

the mains cable. This may damage the mains cable. A damaged power cable can result in a life-threatening
electric shock.

vases). You run the risk of causing a fi re or a fatal electric shock. If this is the case, de-energise the appropri-
ate socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) before removing the plug-in mains unit from the socket. Disconnect
all cables from the device. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place naked fl ames such as burning candles on top of the device.

Set-up
When setting it up with other equipment, make sure that the appliance is well ventilated.
Keep a suffi cient distance from heat sources. Adjust the speaker so that it is not in the
direct vicinity of heat sources such as heaters. Do not point any strong beams or light
sources onto the device. This may lead to overheating (risk of fi re!).
Heat dissipation from the device must not be obstructed. Never cover the device. The air
circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or
similar. This prevents heat dissipation from the device and can lead to overheating (risk of
fi re!).
Do not drill or screw any additional screws into the case for fi xing. This might allow con-
tact with dangerous voltages.
Make sure that the connection cable is not being crushed or damaged by sharp edges.
Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over them or become entangled in them.
Risk of injury.
The cables must have a suffi cient length. Avoid mechanical strain on the cables. This may
damage the cables or the device. There is a danger of fatal electric shock.
Do not place the speakers directly in the vicinity of screens, such as television sets or
computer monitors. The magnetic fi eld from the loudspeakers might distort the image on
such devices.
Only operate the speaker on a stable surface that is not sensitive to heat.
When setting up the device, make sure that it has a stable base and that the set-up location
is suitably stable. If the speaker falls, serious personal injury may result.
Hanging the speaker up by the handles or similar devices must not be done.
• Place the speaker in the desired location.
• Align the sound outlet as desired.
