Maintenance work

A T15 Torx screwdriver may be used on all screws on the fire
helmet.
4.3.1 Replacing the comfort net
1. Open the hook-and-loop fasteners.
2. Remove the comfort net from the retaining ring.
3. Thread a new comfort net into the recesses of the retaining
ring.
4. Close the hook-and-loop fasteners.
4.3.2 Replacing the harness
Detach the harness as follows:
1. Remove the 4 screws used
to attach the harness.
2. Open the hook-and-loop
fastener above the comfort
net.
3. Remove the harness from
the helmet.
Attach the harness as follows:
1. Fasten a new harness with the 4 screws (torque: 1.1 Nm).
2. Position the hook-and-loop fastener above the comfort net
and close.
4.3.3 Replacing the face shield
Detach the face shield as follows:
1. Remove the 2 screws used
to attach the retaining ring
(1).
2. Carefully squeeze
retaining ring and remove
the face shield from the
rotational axes in
helmet shell.
Attach the face shield as follows:
1. Position the face shield on the rotational axes in the helmet
shell.
2. If necessary, fasten the COM holder inside on the retaining
ring.
3. Fasten the retaining ring with the 2 screws (1) in the helmet
shell (torque: 1.1 Nm).

4.3.4 Replacing the internal helmet components
Detach the internal helmet components as follows:
1. Remove the face shield (see chapter 4.3.3 on page 23).
2. Remove the 2 screws of
the harness.
3. Pull adjusting wheel from
the rotational axis in the
helmet shell.
4. Carefully squeeze together
the internal
components and remove
from the helmet shell.
Attach the internal helmet components as follows:
1. Carefully squeeze
components and place into the helmet shell.
2. Align the internal helmet components on the holders of the
eye shield levers.
3. Push adjusting wheel onto the rotational axis in the helmet
shell.
4. Align the harness and fasten with the 2 screws (torque:
1.1 Nm).

5. Attach the face shield (see chapter 4.3.3 on page 23).
4.3.5 Replacing the eye shield
Detach the eye shield as follows:
1. Detach the internal helmet components (see chapter 4.3.4
on page 23).
2. Remove the 2 screws used
to attach the eye shield to
the retaining ring of the
internal helmet components
(1).
3. Remove the eye shield
from the retaining ring.
Attach the eye shield as follows:

1. Fasten the eye shield with the 2 screws to the retaining ring
(torque: 1.1 Nm).
2. Attach the internal helmet components (see chapter 4.3.4
on page 23).
