CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE


Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from
the supply socket and fully cooled down.

Take out the filter bowl and remove the percolator tube. Empty the brew out of the filter.
Clean the filter bowl with hot water and a mild detergent.

Wipe the inside of the glass jug with a damp cloth and the plastic parts with a damp
sponge.

To remove scale from the inner walls you can use a soft brush. Never use abrasive
products.

On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water. Never put it in
a dishwasher!
DESCALING
 If you have an extremely "hard drinking water" supply, it may be necessary to descale the
percolator occasionally to prevent the build-up of lime on the heating element. To do so,
do not use chemical descaling products that you will find in the shops as they might
damage the appliance. You can try the following simple and safe, environment-sparing
method: Fill the percolator with 0.5 litres of water. Add the juice of 1 fresh lemon. Switch on
the percolator and leave for 30 minutes. Allow to cool down and rinse thoroughly.

In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol
rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.
Copies of the I/B. Please reproduce them without any
changes except under special instruction from Team
International BELGIUM. The pages must be reproduced
and folded in order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm
width x 210 mm height). When folding, make sure you
keep the good numbering when you turn the pages of
the I/B. Don't change the page numbering. Keep the
language integrity.
