The Auto-Power-OFF function is deactivated as soon as you switch
to the "REC" mode.
HOLD function
By pressing on the "HOLD" button the measured value that can be
read in the display at that moment will be held. Pressing the button
again switches back to the normal measuring mode.
REC MAX./MIN.-function
Pressing the "REC" button saves the maximum and minimum
values in the background. These values can be called up one after
the other by continuously pressing the "REC" button. The function
in current use will be displayed.
The saved data is deleted as soon as the meter unit has been turned
off or if the "HOLD" button has been pressed.
To turn the REC function off press the "REC" button continuously
for 2-3 seconds.
Adjusting the meter unit
This meter unit allows you to read off the measured values in five
different measurement scales.
When turned on the unit will automatically go to "m/s" (metres per
second).
By pressing the "UNIT" button you can change from "mph" >
"ft/min" > "knots" > "km/h" > "m/s" > "mph"
Making a measurement
Proceed as follows to make a measurement:
• Press the POWER key (22) to switch the surveillance equipment
on. A functional check will be made and displayed.
• Select the desired scale with the "UNIT" button.
• Place the sensor parallel to the air flow direction.
• The corresponding values and temperatures will then be displayed.

• After having completed all your measurements press the
"POWER" button for approx 2 seconds. The measuring unit will
then be switched off.
• You can pull out a special support arm from the back of the unit.
Otherwise for use on a stand a fitting is also included.
RS232 Interface
The measuring unit is fitted with a serial interface for exchanging
data with a computer. This can be found on the right hand side
under a lid. The interface is a 3,5 mm jack plug socket and needs a
compatible data cable, which is an optional extra.
The data cable has the following components:

The series data signal is made up of 16 bits in the following order:
D15 D14 D13 D12 D11 D10 D9 D8 D7 D6 D5 D4 D3 D2 D1 D0
Each data bit has the following function:
D0
End signal
D1 to D8
Measuring values (D1 = lowest digit, D8 = highest
digit).
If 1234 is displayed then the bit rate is: "00001234"

A resistance of 2.2 KOhm is
