Do not move the sound level calibrator or the plugged-in sound level meter when
measuring, which has a negative effect on the measuring result.
Switch off the sound level calibrator after calibration (switch in "OFF" position).
Loud ambient noise and vibrations can have a negative effect on the calibration.
Therefore, carry out the calibration in a quiet environment.
Low air pressure at higher altitudes also influences sound level measurements. This
has to be considered when calibrating. Adjust the displayed value on the sound level
meter depending on the altitude.

CLEANING
Switch the device off before cleaning it.
Clean the outside with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Do not use aggressive detergents, which
might cause discolouration. Do not exert too much pressure on the housing to avoid
scratch marks.
Make sure the diaphragm in the sound outlet is not exposed to mechanical
stress to prevent it from being damaged! Do not insert any pointed objects into
the opening!
HANDLING
• Observe all safety information in these operating instructions.
• Store the sound level calibrator in the provided protective bag if you do not
use it.
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions at the place of
installation, during operation or transport:
- moistness or high humidity
- extreme cold (< 0°C) or heat (> +40°C), direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- strong magnetic fields as present near machines or loudspeakers
• The product may only be used to calibrate sound level meters.
• The 1000-Hz sound from the sound level calibrator is audible to the human
ear. However, never hold the sound outlet to your ear. Even if the volume
produced by the sound level calibrator does not seem high to you at the first
moment, it can damage your hearing!
If no sound is audible after switching on the device (slide switch set to 94dB
or 114dB) and the power LED is not lit, switch off the device and replace the
battery with a new one. Make sure the battery clip is connected correctly.
If the problem persists, send the device to us for inspection or dispose of the
device in an environmentally friendly way.
