CLEANING AND CARE

General cleaning
• Put the steam control on the "no steam" position, remove the plug from the power outlet and let the
iron cool off.
• Rinse off the calcium particles and other deposits from the soleplate with a damp cloth and some
detergent.
Caution
In order to keep the soleplate smooth, it should not come into contact with metal objects.
Do not use any abrasive sponges, vinegar or other chemicals in order to clean the soleplate.
• Clean the upper part of the iron with a damp cloth.
• Rinse out the water tank regularly with clear water and then empty it.
• Keep the device upright in a safe and dry place.
Self clean function
The self clean function cleans the device of impurities. Cleaning with the self clean system should be
carried out as follows before the first use, after longer periods of disuse or every 10 to 15 days:
1. Pull the plug from the power outlet.
2. Put the steam control to the "0" position.
3. Fill the water tank to the MAX mark.
Caution
Do not put any vinegar or other decalcifying agents into the water tank.
4. Put the device in an installation position and plug it into a power outlet.
5. Set iron to the maximum temperature.
6. Remove the plug from the power outlet as soon as the operation control light turns off.
7. Hold the device in a horizontal position over a sink. Press on SELF CLEAN and continue pressing.
Gently move the device back and forth until damp and hot water cease to escape. (Fig. 12)
8. Shake out any remaining water out of the water fill opening.
9. Once the soleplate has cooled off, it can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Note
Impurities and calcium particles, if any, should be rinsed out.
Repeat self-clean function if calcium deposits are still in the iron.
