Attaching the Magnet to a Spoke of the Wheel
1. Release the small screw of the magnet (4) and attach
the magnet to a spoke of the front wheel. The magnet
serves as a contactless pulse generator for the
sensor (3). It must be able to run freely with a distance
of approx. 2 millimetres past the sensor.
2. If you have correctly aligned the sensor and magnet,
tighten the worm drive clip on the sensor so that it can
not slip from its position.
3. Tighten the screw of the magnet hand tight.
4. Turn the wheel a few times by hand and review the
position and the distance of the magnet from the
sensor. At a distance that is too large only bad or no
impulses at all will be given. This will lead to inexact
speed measurements.
Securing the Sensor Cable
Use the supplied cable ties (6) to attach the connection
cable that runs from the sensor to the mounting bracket.
Make sure the cable can be caught neither by the
moving spokes nor by the brake. Pay attention that the
cable has enough space for all steering movements.
Remove the residues of the cable ties with a side cutter.
