Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise WARNUNG Die Installation darf nur durch geschultes Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden. Installationen nur im spannungslosen Zustand vornehmen. Dafür z.B. die Batterie vom Bordnetz trennen, beachten Sie dabei bitte die Vorgaben des Fahrzeugherstellers. • Verwenden Sie niemals sicherheitsrelevante Schrauben, Bolzen oder sonstige Befestigungspunkte an Lenkung, Bremssystem oder anderen Komponenten, um Ihre eigene Fahrsicherheit nicht zu gefährden. -

Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner starken Sonnenbestrahlung oder anderen starken Hitzeeinwirkungen aus! Montieren Sie das Gerät nie in der Nähe von oder gar über Radiatoren, Warmluftschläuchen oder anderen Wärmequellen. Sorgen Sie für genügend Luftzirkulation um Schäden an den Gerätekomponenten zu vermeiden. -

Diagnose als Komponente 1 das AGW codiert sein, danach als Komponente 2 z.B. Telefon, CD-Wechsler…, als letzte Komponente dann COMAND. ACHTUNG: Das Interface IMU 1540 ist im Mercedes nicht diagnosefähig! Daher sollte in der Diagnose kein TV Tuner codiert werden, da sonst die Fehlermeldung „TV nicht vorhanden“ ausgegeben wird. ACHTUNG! Ein MERCEDES COMAND APS arbeitet bei angeschlossenem Interface IMU 1540 und angewähltem TV Modus in der „PAL“ Farbnorm. Daher sollte nach Möglichkeit die angeschlossene Videoquelle fest auf „PAL“ eingestellt werden. Viele Videoquellen (DVB-T Tuner, DVD Player…) sind werkseitig auf die Funktion „Auto“... -

Lichtleiterkabelsatzes gesteckt (Bild 5, das Verbindungsstück muss zur anderen Seite über den Lichtleiter zum Eingang am IMU 1540 führen!!). Der andere Lichtleiter des Kabelsatzes ohne Verbinder wird nun in den jetzt freien Steckplatz gesteckt (Bild 6). Der Lichtleiterring muss nun wieder vollständig geschlossen sein! ®... -

Dieser Lichtleiter wird nun in das Verbindungsstück des beiliegenden Lichtleiterkabelsatzes gesteckt (Bild 5, das Verbindungsstück muss zur anderen Seite über den Lichtleiter zum Eingang am IMU 1540 führen!!). Der andere Lichtleiter des Kabelsatzes ohne Verbinder wird nun in den jetzt freien Steckplatz gesteckt (Bild 6). - Seite 9 4. Den kleinen Lichtleiter Stecker wieder in den Hautpanschluss Stecker stecken. 5. Den jetzt noch offenen Lichtleiterstecker (Bild 7) mit dem Lichtleiteranschluss am IMU 1540 verbinden (siehe Seite 6, Bild 2, Anschluss B). 6. General safety instructions WARNINGS Installation requires special knowledge. Do not install the unit yourself. For safe and reliable installation, consult a dealer having special knowledge. Installation may only be done during idle status. Disconnect the battery from the car´s electrical system, for example. -

Protect the unit against any kind of heat. Never mount it close to heat sources. This product should never be placed near or over a radiator or under the sun. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided. -

ATTENTION! The MERCEDES COMAND APS with a connected interface IMU 1540 and active TV mode generally is set to the “PAL” video standard. Therefore the connected video source should be adjusted to “PAL”. Many video sources (DVB-T tuner, DVD player…) are factory – set to “Auto” mode, which causes the start - up screen or main menu to be provided in “NTSC”... -

Service notes This unit does not need any servicing. Do not open the housing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Wipe gently with a dry cloth over the surface to clean the unit. If there is more tough dirt, first use a light wet cloth and then uses a dry one.
