Before using the machine for the first time water should be boiled in it twice without
any additives. Do not use this water.
1. Fill it with water. Do not overfill! Press the button (5) and the fingers located at
the end of the lid (4) to open it.
2. Place the kettle flush on the base (3). Only connect the machine to a properly
installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety socket. Switch on the appliance with the relevant
switch (6). The LED will light up. After boiling the machine switches off automati-
cally. Disconnect the machine from the mains electricity supply. When pouring,
do not press the lid too much. Danger of burns!
• Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the machine!
• The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly
damp cloth without additives.
• By pressing the button (1) the lid can be removed for cleaning.
The decalcification intervals depend on the hardness of the water and the frequen-
cy of use. Decalcification should be carried out every 3 to 4 months.
If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalci-
fied.
Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available decalcification agent on the
basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the instructions.

and low-voltage safety and has been built to meet current safety requirements.
