5. Battery Notes

• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Always observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of them being swallowed by children or
pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns to skin when touched
without the use of adequate protective gloves.
• Do not short-circuit or dismantle batteries/rechargeable batteries and do not throw them into fire.
There is a danger of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a danger of explosion!
• If not used for an extended period (e.g. when stored), remove the inserted battery. If batteries are too
old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to the cancellation of the warranty/
guarantee!
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read the
chapter on "Disposal".
