OPERATION

General
1. Place the digital scale on an even, clean and dry surface. The supports must be on a horizontally
even surface in order to achieve the most precise measurement possible.
2. Touch the /TARE button to switch on the scale. The LCD display shows the mode (WEIGHT/
MILK/WATER), the unit (g/lb:oz/ml/fl:oz) and the value 0 or 0.0.
Note:
If the scale is not stable and horizontal, an incorrect weight will be displayed. Place the scale on a
horizontal and even surface and wait until the display is set at "0" stellt. If a false weight is still being
shown, you can also set the scale to "0" by touching the TARE button.
3. Place the item to be weighed onto the scale. Read the weight in the LCD display.
4. If the scale becomes overloaded, "O-Ld" will appear in the LCD display. The max. displayed
weighing capacity is 5000 g.
5. Touch the /TARE button for 2 seconds to switch the device off.
6. The scale will switch off automatically after approx. 1 minute if there is no activity recorded within
this time period.

Setting The Tare
You can add the ingredients little by little in a container if you are using the tare function. (Container
not included).
1. Switch on the scale using the

2. Put the container for the ingredients on the scale. The scale weighs the weight of the container. As
soon as the weight has been recorded, the weight appears in the LCD display. Touch the TARE
button to set the scale at "0". The value 0 or 0.0 is shown in display. Now the ingredients can be
weighed.
3. Put an ingredient into the container. As soon as the scale has measured the weight, the measured
value is shown in the LCD display. Read the value in the LCD display.
4. Touch the TARE button again to set the scale back to "0". Add the next ingredient to the container.
Proceed in this manner until all ingredients have been put in the container.
Notes:
• Avoid excessive force on the weighing area of the device because it could lead to permanent
damage within the device as well as imprecise weight and measurement results.
• If some weight is taken away while weighing with the tare function, a minus sign"−" will appear in the
LCD display.
