5. Special instructions

5.1 Maintenance
TT2
If the tonearm is not in use for a long period, please cover the tonearm to protect it from dust.
The glass tube can be cleaned with pure alcohol.
Please make sure that the precision dry ball bearings are not be touched, cleaned or lubricated in
any way. Please only clean the glass tube.
Use only special acrylic cleaner, which is not alcohol based to clean the acrylic parts of the tonearm.
Otherwise you could damage the material (haircracks and spots on the acrylic surface).
Never move or readjust the screws in the carriage of the tonearm. They are to be adjusted only by
qualified dealers or at the Clearaudio factory.
TT2
Keep your tonearm out of extreme temperature and extreme moisture environments.
The tonearm dust cover should be left on the arm during normal operation. Always replace after
making any adjustments or cleaning procedures.
Attention:
This tonearm is suitable for cartridges from 7 g net weight!
If your cartridge is easier, please use an additional weight (headshell plate).
WARNING:
Never insert the oil into the precision bearing as this will result in damage of bearing.
5.2 Transportation
TT2
Should further transportation of the tonearm be necessary, please alway use the original pa-
cking material. Otherwise serious damage could occur.
During any transportation of the tonearm, always protect the carriage with a piece of foam so that
the carriage can not move during transportation.
5.3 Service
If any servicing or repair of a Clearaudio product is necessary, please first contact your dealer or
distributor. Alternatively contact Clearaudio directly and we will advise you of your nearest service
location.
PLEASE RETAIN ALL ORIGINAL PACKAGING. You will need it if this product has to be transported
and/or shipped. Any further questions you may have about this product should be directed to your
local dealer or direct to Clearaudio.
