INtrOduCtION
the Palmer Monicon is a passive volume control for stereo signals that is inserted in the signal path
between the computer or interface output and an active monitor or monitors.
the Monicon makes it possible to control the level of the signal sent to the monitors precisely and
conveniently directly at the workstation without a mixer. thanks to the passive circuitry, there are very
few components in the signal chain and the sound remains unchanged!
in addition to accurate volume control, the Palmer Monicon also features a mute button for muting the
outputs and a mono switch that merges the stereo output signal into a mono master signal.
the inputs and outputs have Xlr connectors and the 3.5 mm stereo trs sockets that are typical for
computers. the combo input sockets also make it possible to connect 6.3 mm trs plugs. thus both
professional and consumer equipment can be connected without problems.
a massive sheet steel housing with elegant genuine wood sides and non-slip rubber feet ensure that
it stays put at the workstation. thus your Palmer Monicon is not only a practical studio tool, but an
