Installation

Choose a place of installation where the safe is not directly visible or easily accessible. This could
be, e.g. behind a cabinet door or behind books, folders, etc.
Installation within an internal partitioning (cavity wall) would be ideal. A picture may be hung up
in front of the door.
Protect the safe from moisture or wetness. Do not install the safe in moist rooms or
damp cellars.
The safe may be installed on a wall or the floor or any other robust surface via the holes in the
casing.
To open the safe for the installation, use one of the keys in the delivery or the battery
box (see chapter "Using the external battery box").
The lock is hidden beneath a cover to the right of the LC display. Turn the round cover
slightly to the left and then remove it.
Suitable screws and, if necessary, wall plugs are required, depending on the ground. An additional
fixation with special adhesive is possible, if the ground allows.
Open/lock the safe with key
This could become necessary if the batteries are weak or empty and the safe cannot be
opened by entering the access code. This way, the safe may also be operated without
batteries, if desired.
Alternatively, you may use the external battery
box in a suitable plug socket (B), see next chap-
ter.
• The respective lock (A) is hidden beneath a cover to the
right of the LC display. Turn the round cover slightly to the
left and then remove it.
• Place the key in the lock and turn the key slightly to the left
counter-clockwise.
Keep the key in this position and turn the fastening handle
to the right as far as it will go. Pull the key out of the lock
and open the safe door.
• To lock the safe, first close the safe door. Then turn the
fastening handle to the left as far as it will go. The lock is
secured.
Check the lock - the fastening handle should not move to
the right now.
If you accidently turn the fastening handle to the left while the safe door is open and
cause the two locking bolts to protrude from the safe door (and thereby prevent the
safe door from locking), just proceed as described above for opening the safe door.
Use of the external battery box
A battery box is part of the delivery content of the safe. It supplies the safe with electricity if the
internal batteries are empty and you do not have the keys readily available (or if you have acciden-
tally stored them inside the safe).
• Place 4 batteries type AA/mignon in the battery box and re-lock it.
• A small connection socket is located on the lower edge of the safe door (see image above,
position "B"). Connect the battery box here.
• The safe will now open as usual when you enter the access code.
Press the "#START" button and enter the user code (preset at the factory "1234") or the master
code (preset at factory "123456").
Confirm the code with the button "#START".
Turn the fastening handle within 5 seconds to the right as far as it goes and open the safe door.
Inserting / replacing batteries
• Open the safe. Use, for example, the keys delivered (see chapter "Open/lock the safe with key")
or the battery box (see chapter "Use of the external battery box").
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the door. Push the cover to the back until you can
remove it.
• Insert 4 AA/mignon batteries with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• A change of battery is required if the display contrast is reduced, "Lo-Bat" appears when ente-
ring the code or the LC display stays empty.
The access codes remain unchanged after a battery change.
To keep the date, time and saved data sets for the opening procedures, the external
battery box has to be connected during the battery change!

Operation

Open safe by entering the code
• Press the "#START" button briefly, 8 lines appear on the LC display ("- - - - - - - -"). The display
light is simultaneously activated.
• Enter either the master code or the user code. Correct an input mistake by pressing the
"*CLEAN" button.
Confirm the code with the button "#START".
The basic setting of the delivery uses the master code "123456" and the user code
"1234".
• If the code is correct, the display shows "OPEN" and an acoustic signal appears.
Turn the fastening handle within 5 seconds to the right as far as it will go and open the door. If
the fastening handle is not moved, the lock automatically locks due to safety reasons after those
5 seconds.
• If the code is incorrect, the display shows "Error". Additionally, an alarm sound is emitted.
Entering an incorrect code 3 times causes the safe to emit a loud alarm sound for ap-
proximately one minute. During this time, it is not possible to re-enter the code.
