Setting the time

NOTE: As soon as the coffee machine loses power (in a power cut or if the device is unplugged
from the mains) all the time settings will be lost and the time must be reset as soon as the power is
reconnected to the machine!
You can have the time displayed in either 12 or 24 hour format.
The factory default setting is the 24 hour format; meaning the time is displayed with the figures 0:00
– 23:59.
In 12 hour format, the time is displayed with figures 0:00 – 12:29 plus the additional PM or AM
notification as appropriate.
AM stands for "After Midnight" while PM stands for "Post Meridian". These mean that all hours with
the AM marking indicate hours after midnight ("After Midnight") while hours with the PM marking
indicate those hours after 12 noon ("Post Meridian").
Example: 1:00 AM = 1:00h at night / 1:00PM = 1:00h in the afternoon, namely 13:00h.
To set the 12 hour format, proceed as follows:
• Plug the device into the mains. The display indicates 12:00.
• Press the PROGRAM button once. The display 12:00 starts flashing.
• Now press the HOUR/MINUTE buttons at the same time. The display indicates PM and the
display 12:00 starts flashing.
Setting the time in 24 hour format is the same as for 12 hour format.
• Press the PROGRAM button once. The display 12:00 starts flashing.
• Now you can use the HOUR button to adjust the hours and the MINUTE button to adjust the
minutes.
• When you have set the time, wait approx. 3 seconds until the display stops flashing. The time
is now set.
