• Thunderstorms pose a risk to any electrical device. Overvoltage in the mains supply can damage
the device.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability Insurance
Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
• If the product is used at schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself or hobby workshops, it has to be
supervised by trained personnel.
• This module is equipped with highly sensitive components. Electronic components are very
sensitive to static electricity discharge. Only handle the module by the edges and avoid contact with
the pins of the components on the circuit board.
• The module may only be operated after it has been installed scoop-proof in the casing. The power
must be switched off when installing the module.
• All wiring work must be performed with the power switched off.
• This product is a stand-alone alarm notification device. Incorrect settings or improper connections
can cause unwanted SMS messages (e.g. when the supplied voltage on terminal "IN1" or "IN2" is
exactly at the switching threshold of the two optocouplers).
• This product generates high frequency. Never operate it close to medical equipment (e.g.
pacemakers) or medical institutions (e.g. hospitals).
• Never remove the SIM card while the GSM switching module is in operation.
• If the module no longer responds (e.g. because of strong EMC pulses, electrostatic discharge or
similar), the module must be disconnected from the operating voltage and re-connected.

4.2 Handling batteries and rechargeable batteries

• Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
• Observe the correct polarity when connecting the batteries.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batteries being
swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can burn your skin if touched. Therefore, you should use suitable
protective gloves.
• Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries or throw them into fire. There is danger of
explosion!
• Never dismantle batteries/rechargeable batteries!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries. There is danger of explosion!
• To avoid damage caused by leaky batteries, remove them when they are not used for a longer
period of time (e.g. when stored).
