• Plug in a standardized socket.
• Make sure voltage is corresponding. Without special request, all our mills are delivered with a
220 Volt motor.
• Switch on for trial run without any grain.
• If motor does not run, press the (2) overload safety button.
• Mill starts running normally. Stop the mill with the IN/OFF switch (3).
C. WET GRAINS = N°1 ENEMY OF YOUR MILLINGS - NO MILLING WITH DAMP GRAINS!
It is absolutely necessary to use only dry grains.
Damp grains are soiling the millstones. Motor will then stop and overload safety button (2) will
disconnect.
Your cereals should be stored in a warm dry place, in a cloth bag or jute sack. They never should be
stored outside or anywhere damp, because of humidity of air they will soak up.
They should be stored in a warm dry place for 2 or 3 weeks before use. Small quantities can be laid out
on flat trays to dry quickly there for 4 to 8 days (or near a radiator). No more than 50°C should be used
for this drying.
D. LET START THE MILL
• Lift the lid n°6 from the feed hopper (7)
• Pour some dry grain into the hopper until you reach the quantity required for milling. Replace
plastic lid on top of hopper.
• If a trouble appears such as: the mills stops (for an example), pls sees hereafter the item
"DIFFICULTIES".
• You can stop the loaded mill when grinding is in progress without doing damage
E. REGULATING GRAIN IN FEED
Adjustable feed inlet control knob (14) allows:
• To regulate the quantity of grains going in the mill chamber and adapt the milling to the type of
grains.
• To control the temperature of the flour (with –few grains in the mill en limitant le nombre de
graine dans la chambre de mouture, on limite la montée en température de la farine).
• To close the inlet aperture of the grains and to empty the mill chamber from the flour, before
turning off the mill.
Adjustment of inlet aperture:
• For milling of larger grains (such as maize, beans, etc..), unscrew the button (14) in order to have
a total inlet aperture. Don't unscrew more.
• For milling of medium grains (such as wheat, oat, buckwheat, barley, etc..) screw the button (14)
in order to have the inlet aperture (12) : half open.
• For milling of small grains (such as bird-seed), please reduce the inlet aperture a little more.
• For milling hard grains (such as german wheat, Kamut, ...): third open
Take care of these adjustments. The overstrong SAMAP is milling without any difficulty, in full output, all
cereals (grains) without damaging the mill but a too important output could leads to an abnormal and
unnecessary heating of the milling.
These indications of adjustment are corresponding to the output mentioned on our leaflet.
IMPORTANT
After a certain period of running time, if you put your hand on the body (11) of your mill, you will find
out that it reached a certain temperature.
