This device left the factory in perfect condition in terms of safety engineering. We kindly request
the user to observe the safety instructions and warnings contained in the enclosed operating
instructions, so this condition is maintained and safe operation is ensured. The following
symbols must be observed:
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in these operating
instructions that has to be observed.
The lightening symbol in a triangle warns against an electric shock or the
impairment of the electrical safety of the appliance.
This product has been CE certified and meets the necessary European guidelines.
Only for dry indoor use.
Earth conductor, protection class 1. This screw/connector must not be loosened.
Earth potential
Operating switch: I = on, 0 = off
Regularly check the technical safety of the instrument and measuring lines,
e.g. for damage to the housing or squeezed parts etc. Never operate the
device when it is open!

Unpacking
After unpacking, check all parts for completeness and possible damage.
For safety reasons, damaged parts must not be used. In case of any damage,
contact our customer service.
Positioning the device
Position the device so that it can be operated and read comfortably.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the device. Do not cover or seal the ventilation
openings of the device.

Operation

1. Make sure that the mains voltage selector switches on the back of the device correspond
to your mains supply. The switch positions are specified on the device. In Europe, make
sure you select "230 V".
2. Connect the provided mains cable to the mains connector at the back of the device and
connect the shock-proof plug to an earthed mains socket.
3. Use the POWER I/O switch to turn on the device (switch pressed "I"). After a short
initialization the device is ready.
Setting the voltage
1. Make sure that the buttons PARA/INDEP, SER/INDEP, and OUTPUT are inactive (buttons
are not lit).
2. Connect the load to the corresponding output CH1 or CH2.
3. Use buttons CH1 and CH2 to select the right output. The selected button lights up.
4. Use the VOLTAGE control to set the voltage or the CURRENT control to set the current.
Pressing one of the controls once turns on fine-tuning mode. When fine-tuning is active, the
LED display shows "FINE". Press the button again to switch back to normal mode.
5. Connect the corresponding measuring lines to the DC sockets. The red socket represents
the positive pole, the black socket represents the negative pole.
6. Press the OUTPUT button to activate the outputs. The button lights up. All three outputs
are activated.
7. To deactivate the outputs, press the OUTPUT button again.
The ground potential socket is connected directly to the protective earthing
of the mains plug.
8. Turn off the device after operation (POWER switch "0").
Cleaning and Maintenance
• Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed
(unless these parts are intended to be removed without tools).
Prior to cleaning or repairing the device, all lines have to be disconnected
and the device has to be turned off.
Replace the defective fuse with a fuse of the same type and nominal current.
For safety reasons, it is not permissible to repair fuses or bridge them.
• Do not use scouring, chemical or aggressive cleaning agents such as benzine, alcohols or
the like. The surface of the device could be corroded. In addition, the vapours are detrimental
to health and explosive. Sharp-edged tools such as screwdrivers or metal brushes should not
be used for cleaning purposes.
• Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly moistened cloth to clean the device, the display
and the measuring lines.

Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
