Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning of the main unit
At home:
Use a clean dry cloth and mild detergents
for cleaning the unit.
Dealer:
After cleaning the device can be comple-
mented for use with a new patient.
To do so, the following steps must be per-
formed:
– wipe disinfection (with common
disinfectants)
– add a new nebulizer set (e.g. the
practical year set)
– pressure control of the compressor
The device is now ready for use by a new
patient.
Attention: during cleaning operations,
make sure liquids do not get inside the
device.

After each treatment:
The nebulizer CalimeroJet , the mouth piece
and the optional silicone mask (after
replacing the exhalation valve) must be
sterilized by boiling in water (for max.
10 minutes) or in autoclave (max. 121°C,
see autoclave instructions for duration).
We suggest you disinfect the masks using
cold disinfecting liquids (solutions with
hypochlorite).
Dry the nebulizer using a clean cloth; after
connect it to the air outlet (pic. A / 4),
switch the device on and let it work freely
for 5-10 minutes.
Do not boil nor autoclave the air tube
and the standard PVC masks.
Following carefully the cleaning and
disinfecting instructions is very important
for the product performance and for a
successful therapy.
Replacement of the nebulizer
The nebulizer must be replaced after a
long period of inactivity, or when it is
obstructed by dry medication, dust, etc.
Your nebulizer should last from 6 months
to 1 year with general use.
Use original nebulizers only. (Year Set
CalimeroJet nebulizer M 56700-03)
Replacement of the filter
CalimeroJet Porex filter
The MicroDrop ®
must be replaced approximately after
500 hours of use or each year; control the
filter periodically (10-12 aerosol treatments);
when it turns grey or brown or wet, replace
it; open the filter holder (pic. A / 5) and
replace the filter with a new one. Don't try
to clean the filter and to reuse.
Use original filters only.
Do not use the unit without filter.
