Intended use

The LSG-2 cable detector is a multifunction tester for checking and
detecting of dead and live cables, lines, or metal pipes. It may also
be used to detect magnetic fields on alternating voltage-operated
components.
The device has an integrated torch function.
Detection is carried out without direct contact and is signalled
visually, acoustically, and kinetically.
This product has to be operated with two 9V compound batteries
for the signaller and four button cells for the cable detector.
The signaller must not brought into direct contact with live conduc-
tors.
Contact with moisture must be avoided at all times.
Operation is impermissible under unfavourable ambient conditions.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
- excessive dampness or humidity
- dust and combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- electrical storms or stormy conditions and strong electrostatic
fields, etc.
Any use apart from the use described above will damage the pro-
duct and may involve other risks, such as short circuit, fire, electric
shock, etc. Do not change or modify any part of the product! The
safety instructions should be observed without fail!

Disposal of flat batteries / accumulators!

You, as the end user, are legally obliged (Regulation on Flat Batte-
ries) to return all flat batteries and accumulators. Disposal in the
household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/accumulators containing hazardous sub-
stances are marked by the shown symbols. These
symbols also indicate that it is prohibited to dispose of
these batteries/accumulators in the household waste.
The heavy metals concerned are: Cd = cadmium, Hg =
mercury, Pb = lead. You can return flat batteries/accu-
mulators free of charge to the collection points in your
community, our branches or anywhere else where bat-
teries or accumulators are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and make your contribution
to the protection of the environment!
Never operate the test devices when they are open.
Do not leave flat batteries in the device. Even batte-

release chemicals which may be detrimental to your
health or destroy the battery compartment.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not
