6. Test functions

6.1 Manual test

Start the test only with
correct mounted circuit board.
Danger! Mains voltage on the
backside of the circuit board!
For protection of the electronics
care must be taken that during
testing, no short-circuiting or
damage to the components is
caused for example by finger
rings or screwdrivers.
The luminaire has a test button
on the underside near to the
display LED of the electronics
that enables the technician to
manually initiate a test following
commissioning and service (e.g.
battery replacement).

6.2. Automatic test and display
Function test
In compliance with valid regu-
lations, an emergency lumi-
naire must be switched once
weekly to battery operation and
functionality tested. EURO X
LED implements this test self-
sufficiently.
The function test starts up once
weekly at the time of last com-
missioning or last reset.
Duration test
The time for the duration test
should always be specified so
that the subsequent phase of
battery charging does not fall

Blinks yellow fast 2 Hz
during the operating period of
the building. The factory setting
of the duration test (BT) intends
that the first BT occurs auto-
matically 6 months + 12 hours
after initial commissioning or last
reset. Following this, the next
test occurs precisely 6 months
after the last duration test.
Note: because commissioning
is usually carried out during
the day and the duration test
therefore occurs (after 6 months
+ 12 hours) during the night, this
should avoid the period of the
duration test falling within the
operating time of the building.
