• Before you close the safe, the safe door should be closed. Then turn the locking grip
to the left up to the stop to make the lock latch.
Check the locking; turning the grip to the right should not be possible now.
If you inadvertently turn the locking grip to the left while the safe door is
open, so that both lock bolts project out of the safe door (and the safe door
won't close), proceed again as described above when opening the safe.
b) Setting a new access code
• Initially, open the safe door as described
above.
• On the back side of the safe door (near the door
axis on the inside of the door), there is a hidden
button; see the circle on the figure on the right.
Briefly press the button. The yellow "PRO-
CEED" LED lights up and 2 beeps will be heard.
• Enter a 3- to 8-digit code and then briefly
press either the button "A" or "B" (example:
123456A). If two beeps are heard, the new code
is saved.
If the yellow "PROCEED" LED flashes and 3
beeps are heard, the code is invalid (e.g. when
a 2-digit code was entered). Start over enter-
ing a new code; see above.
Tips and notes
• The product is designed for storage of valuable objects or protection against unau-
thorised access.
The break-in protection is achieved structurally, i.e. by steel sheet body frame, door
and lock design. The solution impedes unauthorised access to the valuable objects
stored in the safe.
• When opening/closing the safe, make sure you are not observed by anybody.
• Due to the thick door with lock mechanics contained therein, the full interior space
of the safe is not available for use. Close the door cautiously; do not use excessive
force! Otherwise you can damage the objects kept in the safe.
• Never store the two provided keys in the safe. If you forget the code, it will not be
possible to open the safe!
• If you have forgotten the access code, open the safe with the key enclosed and set
a new access code.
Maintenance and care
• Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
• Clean the safe occasionally with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Never use aggressive
cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the housing could be dam-
aged (discoloured).
Disposal
a) Product
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant
statutory regulations.
Remove any batteries inserted and dispose of them separately from the
product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As end user, you are legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous materials are la-
belled with these symbols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste
is forbidden. The symbols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=Cadmium,
Hg=Mercury, Pb=Lead (marked on batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. un-
der the rubbish bin symbol shown to the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to the official
collection points in your community, in our stores, or any place where batteries or
rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
