Charging the integrated rechargeable battery

A lead-gel rechargeable battery is integrated into the mobile PA system. This rechargeable battery makes it possible
to operate the amplifier without a mains socket.
Prior to initial operation the rechargeable battery has to be fully charged.
To avoid premature wear of the rechargeable battery it should be recharged after each use of the amplifier. Further
measures to extend the lifespan of the rechargeable battery are frequent use and storing and recharging at room
temperature.
Only recharge the rechargeable battery using the integrated charger. Any other way of charging
may damage or destroy the rechargeable battery or cause fire.
Only recharge the rechargeable battery at room temperature and in a well-ventilated environment.
Do not expose the rechargeable battery to high temperatures (>50°C), since this will shorten its
lifespan.
The mains outlets to which the mobile PA system is connected must be easily accessible to
quickly disconnect the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
• Connect the supplied mains cable with the mains socket POWER INPUT (7) at the rear of the device.
• Insert the mains plug into a grounded wall outlet.
• As soon as the mobile PA system is connected to the power supply, the rechargeable battery is being charged.
• The CHARGE display is lit during charging. When the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the CHARGE
indicator goes out again.
The mobile PA system can also be operated during charging.
The battery is also charged if the device is switched off.
• Charge the rechargeable battery completely before initial operation and after longer periods of non-use to ensure
that it can reach its full capacity.
• Disconnect the mobile PA system from the mains supply to end charging.
• The mobile PA system is ready for immediate use right after charging. The operating time with a fully charged
rechargeable battery is, at full volume, about 6 hours. The time of operation that can be reached depends on
volume, the age of the rechargeable battery and the ambience temperature.
• When the device is switched on, the SOUND SYSTEM BATTERY LEVEL (10) display indicates the charging
state of the rechargeable battery. If the LOW indicator starts to light up, the rechargeable battery must be
recharged as soon as possible. If the device remains in operation, an emergency switch-off deactivates the
device to protect it from total discharge.
• The rechargeable battery has a low self-discharge, i.e. it discharges slowly when the appliance is not in operation.
For this reason you should recharge the rechargeable battery every 2 months if you do not use the device for
longer periods of time.
