USING THE APPLIANCE

Important note:
Before using the kettle and glass teapot for
the first time, we recommend that you follow
these instructions for use, using just plain water,
and that you then throw away the water that
has passed through the appliance. This should
clean the appliance and remove any possible
dust or impurities that may be left over from the
manufacturing process.
BASE UNIT
• Place the base unit on a stable, flat and
heat resistant surface. Please ensure that the
appliance cannot be knocked and cannot tip
over.
• Plug the three-pole connection plug on the
power cable into the appropriate socket on the
base unit. The connection should be secure and
should not wiggle.
KETTLE
• The lid of the kettle can be unlocked and
opened by pressing the rectangular button on
the kettle handle.
• Fill the kettle with clean water. The quantity
of water must be between the maximum and
minimum water level indicators of the appliance.
If the water level is too low, the appliance can
overheat. If the water level is too high, boiling
water may spill out of the machine.

• Every time you wish to use the kettle, fill the
appliance with fresh water. Throw away any left-
over, cold and stale water.
• Close the lid of the kettle once more. The
appliance will only switch off automatically once
the water has boiled if the lid is shut. Press down
on the lid with your hand and make sure that it
locks into place audibly.
