CHARGING A LEAD BATTERY
• First ensure that it is a lead-acid battery with a voltage of 12 V.
Caution! Rechargeable batteries with other voltages cannot be charged!
• Disconnect all consumers from the rechargeable battery.
• If the rechargeable battery is built into a vehicle, switch off the ignition and all consumers.
Please strictly observe information and safety notes of the car manufacturer concerning the charging of the rechargeable car battery.
Modern cars are equipped with sensitive electronic components and control units which will be damaged when handled improperly!
• First, connect the charger to a mains socket (220 – 240 VAC/50/60 Hz).
• First, select the desired function (lead, boost, calcium or power supply) using the 'SET' button.
• Now, connect the charger to the rechargeable battery observing correct polarity. For this purpose use the appropriate connection adapter (with battery terminals,
with rings or with 12 V plugs).

Indicator for summer mode
This LED lights up when the summer mode for lead and calcium batteries is activated.
Indicator for winter mode
This LED lights up when the winter mode for lead and calcium batteries is activated.
Indicator for maintenance mode (Maintenance charge. Only for lead batteries!)
MODE button
This button is used to select between summer, winter and maintenance mode.
Operating status indicator (Mains voltage is applied.)
Indicator for short circuit

Indicator for lead mode
This LED lights up when a mode for charging lead batteries is selected.
Indicator for boost mode
This LED lights up when the boost mode (only for lead batteries) is activated.
Indicator for calcium mode
This LED lights up when a mode for charging calcium batteries is selected.
Indicator for power supply function
This LED lights up when the power supply function is selected.
SET button
This button is used to select between lead, boost, calcium mode or power supply function.
