• Condensor (with phase contrast): Working distance 30 mm.
• Stage: Moveable range 79 mm x 112 mm.
• Coaxial coarse/fine focusing system with limit knob and ten-
sional adjustment ring: Minimum division of fine focusing
scale 0.002 mm.
III. OBSERVING OPERATION (Fig. 1 & 2)
1. Insert the condenser into the condenser stage tray (15) and
fix it by the condenser holding screw (21). Plug the power
supply plug (9) into the mains in (10) and the mains plug in-
to the mains socket. Then push the power switch (27) onto
"I ". So, the power supply is switched on.
2. Put a specimen onto the center of stage. Turn the 10x ob-
jective to the working position, then adjust the coarse/fine
focusing system.
3. Adjust the interpupillary distance and the diopter.
4. Adjust the position of the condenser, the brightness control
knob (28) and the aperture diaphragm adjustment swivel
(16) to get a satisfactory illumination state.
5. Little adjust the fine focusing knob (11), when you use ob-
jectives of different magnifications.
IV. THE OPERATIONS OF EACH UNIT
1. Adjustment of interpupillary distance (Fig. 3)
B
C
Put the specimen on the stage and bring it into the exact fo-
cus. Adjust the interpupillary distance of the binocular viewing
by "folding" the binocular tube (2) on the optical head, until the
right and the left field of view can be composed to one.
2. Adjustment of diopter (Fig. 3)
Put the specimen on the stage. Turn the 40x objective to the
working position. Firstly, observe at the right eyepiece with the
right eye; adjust the coarse and fine focusing knobs to image
clearly. Secondly, observe at the left eyepiece with the left eye;
adjust the diopter control (1) to image clearly.
• Interpupillary distance adjustment range: 53 mm - 75 mm.
• Illumination system: 6 V, 30 W halogen bulb lamp with
brightness adjustment.
• Power supply: 230 V (50 Hz).
• Anti-fungus.
3. Coarse/Fine focusing (Fig. 4)
B
C
The instrument uses a coaxial coarse/fine focusing mecha-
nism. The knob for tensional adjustment of focusing (3) is
D
used for adjusting the tension of the coarse focusing knob (2)
to prevent the stage from naturally sliding down. The limit
knob (4) prevents accidental contact between specimen and
objective. After locking the limit knob (by turning up and fas-
tening) at a chosen height of the stage, you cannot focus the
object closer to the objective using the coarse focusing knob.
So, the object is protected against damage. (1) is the fine fo-
cusing knob.
4. Stage (Fig. 5)
E
D
The seat of a culture utensil (4 or 5) can be put on the stage,
used for different culture utensils and specimens. The longitu-
dinal adjustment knob (1) and the transversal adjustment knob
(2) of the mechanical stage are coaxial; adjust them very con-
venient. When you use a large culture utensil, you should loo-
se the holding screw (3) for the stage moving system. Then ta-
ke away the stage moving system from stage and put the lar-
ge culture utensil on the stage directly.
