OPERATION
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Suitable oils and fats
Only use oils and fats that are designed to be used
at high temperatures and in a deep-frying device.
Never mix different varieties of oils or fats together.
Never use margarine, butter or olive oil, since these
will generate smoke, even when used at low
temperatures.
The oil/fat should be replaced regularly, after
around 15 frying sessions or when it starts to go
brown.
Preparation of foodstuff to be fried
To avoid any risk of the oil or fat spraying or boiling
over, please only use fully dry foodstuff for frying.
Frozen foodstuffs can be fried without being initially
defrosted. However, when frying frozen foods, a
slightly reduced capacity should be used. Here, it is
important to ensure that the frozen foodstuff is not
excessively frosted, since this could cause a
significant amount of foam to be generated, which
may, in turn, cause the oil to overflow.
OPERATION
Preparation
Caution!
Ensure that the device has been switched off each time
after it is used.
Remove the plug from the cable compartment and
unwind the power cable to its fullest extent.
Remove the lid from the device and subsequently
take the fry basket out of the frying container.
Fold the handle of the fry basket upwards and pull it
in the direction of the fry basket wall until it is
correctly snapped into lace.
Ensure the device is only installed on a level, stable
and heat-resistant surface.
The power socket must be easily accessible, so that
in an emergency, the device can be unplugged
without any problem.
Filling with oil or fat
Please be careful to remember that the fry basket
should not be positioned into the frying container
while the oil/fat is being filled and heated. Never let
the fat melt in the fry basket.
Fill the frying container with oil or hard fat. While
doing so, always ensure the fill capacity markings
on the inside of the device are strictly respected.

When preparing potato-based foodstuffs for frying
(chips, fried potato, etc.), these should firstly be
chopped up and rinsed in cold water, to remove the
excess potato starch. Subsequently, carefully dry.
This will help avoid the problem of the potato
pieces sticking together while being fried.
Advice on frying
Never insert the foodstuff to be fried without the fry
basket present inside the frying container!
Never over-fill the fry basket. This will reduce the oil
temperature in the device and cause the foodstuff to
be greasy.
Do not use the oil at excessive temperatures or for
too long at a time. This will cause it to lose its use
properties.
During the interim period between two subsequent
sets of frying for different ingredients, i.e. while
additional ingredients are being prepared, move the
temperature adjuster back to the lowest setting.
During extended periods of non-use, please switch
off the device and unplug from the mains!
If blocks of fat are used, break them into small
pieces before filling the device. Set the device
temperature to a low setting and slowly stir the
pieces until all the fat has melted and the
appropriate capacity has been attained.
Time switch
The device is equipped with a time switch, which
allows frying duration to be adjusted to between 0
– 30 minutes.
Once the preset time has elapsed, a signal tone is
sounded and the device stops heating.
